Lucerne Bridge 橋

Spring 2007. This is a bridge in upstream of a river, where the famous Capel bridge built. This picture was taken from a watchtower built on the part of Lucerne castlle walls. Most of bridges on Lucerne has a lot are notable for me. it bridges here and there and additionally there seems to be another function.

2007年春。ここスイスの中央部ルツェルンの名物カペル橋よりも少し上流に架かる橋。この眺めはルツェルンが城壁に囲まれていた時代の高見台から。この橋に限らずルツェルンの橋はどれも見るところが多い。こちらとあちらを結ぶという劇的な要素に慢心することなくさらに何かを追求しているところがよい。

Yokohama An old column sits in a Tea house

A vertical sihouette seen in center of this picture is a wood column inside a Tea house.I`m afraid I don`t remeber the exact story I was told, But I`m trying to tell you anyway.
Placing an old column in a Tea house came into fashion during Meiji period. The older column was the better. It sounds pretty strange,doesn`t it? A New one should be better, But it is said that a colum has a house`s history in it, So a column symbolizes the inheritance of the house's history.I think the colum in this picturemay be a thousand years old.

Taipei Highway

This is the highway connecting the city of Taipei and the Airport. Guess what!! In case of emergency, the highway will be used as a runway for airplanes. I`m sure it was built on the assumption that a war against china is coming.

Taipei Opennings with unique carvings in Villa Lin

This geometorical shape opening looks more like one in Sculpa's buildings in Italy.
What is the most interesting about opennings in Villa Lin, I think, Numbers of its can been built in a line. Wind seems to be flowing thoughout Villa. Though taiwan`s crimate is characterized by hot and humid,what is called Tropic, Wind may makes me feel good.


It looks like a shape being in fashion in contemporay architectures.

The window panes of telephone booth reflects the view of the cityhall and the neighborhood. It`s not to see if you look closely, you will see there is a gold painted something inside telephone booth. It is on the right of the picture! It is called Kinkaku temple and a golden shape made by Japanese artist, There is a small buddha status on the top.He said there are many kinds of temples in Liverpool, but there is no buddha temple.
